So here is my Chicago trip continuation. You can tell that I was a little bit tired. Driving in Chicago is way different from driving in my laid back Minneapolis 🙂

But anyways I still enjoyed it.

I got the belt from Marshalls but Option Here . Accessories from TjMaxx

I sew this jumpsuit using a pattern  and the review is below. I love the warm green color that I used and also the fabric is an African print fabric.

Here is the jumpsuit before I added a belt.

Pattern Review

Pattern Description: M6083  view E

Fabric Used:  Cotton – African Print Fabric, you can buy some Here and Here

Pattern Size: I used 10/12. I’m a size 8/10 but I go a size up for my torso.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow?  The instructions were easy to follow, But I really didn’t use most of it.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the pattern because it’s a free style with not much difficulty.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? I took out the gathers on the bodice and also took out the darts on the pant. To make it look like a pullover. I can always change it later if I change my mind by adding a long dart that runs from the bodice to the pant and add a zipper to the side.

Would you sew it again? Yes I will sew it again but this time using knit and might add some elastic to the leg too.

Would you recommend it to others? Yes.

If you have any questions or suggestions please email me.

  2. Not everyone can wear a jumpsuit, but you look great. I really love your choice of a bold colour. I think my daughter would look good in a jumpsuit, may be I will have to sew one for her!

    1. Thanks Deborah, I love colors, so I always try different patterns with it to see what the outcome will be. 🙂

  3. […] Below I’m wearing a jumpsuit I made using an African Print fabric I got from EleganzaFashion located in Maryland. I like jumpsuits a lot and will be making more. Here is another one I made. […]
