Hi beautiful people, It’s Thursday and the week is almost over yay.  I can’t wait for the Thanksgiving holiday, we have a 5 days holiday at work the Thanksgiving week so I’m making use of every single day to sew, sleep, relax and repeat. 🙂

It was my birthday yesterday and I’m a year older so more work, more responsibilities, more awesomeness and more sewing 🙂 I really do appreciate those that called, text and wished me a Happy Birthday. Thank you all.

This is my 2nd time sewing this Double Peplum Top. I added little gathers to the sleeve for a little edge. I’m not sure if I will be making more but I love the top a lot. It’s very fitting.  It’s a Vogue 8815 modified. The only thing I don’t like about it is the long dart. It gives an artificial nip.

Here is the Link to the first one I made and I included a photo below.

  1. Hi again! I purchased the pattern, but I’m not sure which size I want to make. Did you use the size suggested for your measurements? Or did you go bugger or smaller?

    1. Hi Alicia,
On the sizes, most times I always go bigger because I’m a D cup size. Make sure you check the front bodice. It usually includes the finished garment measurement of the bust.
I always cut out the finished garment measurement that has my bust size. Also look out for the finished waist size measurement too.
If the finished waist size is smaller than the waist size on the size you chose for the bust, then you’ll have to grade it up and vice versa.

      I hope this helps.

      1. Thank you!

  3. Did you cut 2 pieces for the fullness at the bottom of this garment?

    1. Hi Denisha,

Yes, the bottom is 2 pieces.
