Hello Loves,

Finally it’s beginning to feel like spring but old man winter is still dragging along. I’m wearing a Double Peplum top using a readjusted Vogue 8815 Pattern.

This top was inspired by an outfit worn by Mimi Godwin a fashionista and seamstress. The fabric is a Ponte double knit. It was my first time working with a ponte knit and I’m loving it. I will be using it a lot in the future. 🙂

Here is another I made in black

  3. Hello,
Very nice top, question how did you make it a double, I want to make this, Mimi pattern was sold out and I really like the color and the double peplum so how did you make it a double peplum please let me know

    1. Hi Angela,

You can use any pattern that has peplum. Cut out the peplum part and trace it on a paper and extend it with 5inches. That will be the longer peplum. So you cut two peplums, the first is the initial peplum and the second is the 5inches longer one. Place the short on top of the long.
When sewing it, you have to baste the two peplums together first before adding it to the bodice.

      1. Thank You so much I really appreciate your respond thank you thank you, And have a Merry Christmas

  4. Very Nice! Which pattern choice did you use? B or C?

    1. Hi Alicia,

I used option B peplum. But you can use C too depending on the style you want to use it for.
