peplum and dress

Hope you’re all having a wonderful week so far. It’s been nice here in Minneapolis, we finally got over the storm and flood. Looks like everything in Minneapolis is always extra 🙂 extra snow, extra rain, extra sun hehe.

I’m wearing a Knit dress here and I used elastic for the neck so I could easily make it off the shoulder. But here I combined it with an African print jacket which I did a review on at the end of the photos below.  I used Mccalls 6844 for this jacket.

Pattern Review: Mccalls 6844

Pattern Description:  McCalls 6844  Misses Cardigans View C

Fabric Used: African Print Cotton Fabric

Pattern Size: I used 10/12

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?  I think so

Were the instructions easy to follow?  The instructions were easy to follow.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the pattern because its a very simple and easy style that could be easily manipulated.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? I added more fullness to the peplum and shortened the sleeves. I added extra 1/2″ allowances because the pattern was designed for moderate stretch knit.

Would you sew it again? Yes I will sew it again but I will be using knit, the pattern is designed for knit fabric. I will like to see what it feels like in Knit.

Would you recommend it to others? Yes very simple.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today
