Wow, it’s Sunday already. Weekend is over :(. It’s a little warm today in Minneapolis, 39 F degrees is very awesome for this time of the year. We still have snow on the floor but 39 F degrees feels like 60 degrees F compared to the weather we’ve had a few weeks ago.

Crossing my fingers and waiting for the summer. I really can’t wait 🙂

I got a Nikon D7000 as a present last Christmas and I’m still learning how to use it. There’s so much to learn:). I took some photos with it this weekend and will be sharing later in the week. I also used it for the photos below.

I’m wearing a Knit Top I made last year, it’s a modified pattern using NewLook 6230  with the pattern review below.

Pattern Review:

Pattern Description: New Look 6230 Misses View B

Fabric Used: Knit

Pattern Size: Size 10

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?  I think so.

Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were very easy.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The pattern is very simple with no difficulty at all.

Pattern alterations or any design you made? I divided the sleeves and used 2 colors, I extended the length of the top and also added a different color of hem. I added a thumb hole to the sleeve.

Would you sew it again? Yes, I will sew it again in a different length and fabric. I will try a woven fabric the next time.

Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I recommend it.

  1. I like the colorblocking you did on this top! How did you finish the thumb hole in the sleeve? A co-worker was just telling me about her favorite shirt with thumb holes in it, she really liked the feature.

  2. Thanks Ebi, I hand stitched (hemmed) the seams on both sides right by the thumb hole all the way down the sleeve hem before closing up the hem.
