Happy NEW week to you all. Hope your week is going okay so far. Well, it’s just the middle of the week so we still have a long way to go. 🙂

I was at a get together a few weeks ago with some few friends. Once in a while we all just like to hang out and gist, have fun and talk some ladies talk.

I wore this African print DIY off shoulder dress. Though I didn’t wear it as an off-shoulder that day I could if I wanted to. I really didn’t take many photos so I couldn’t show you more but when next I wear the dress I will try and take more photos to show how it looks in off-shoulder.

I used McCalls 7163 as a guide for the dress. The pattern is so simple and I recommend it to anyone who’s learning to sew.

Review:

McCalls 7163 is a very easy pattern that I recommend for beginners to try if they’re looking at trying something new and simple.

Adjustments

I added 2 side pockets,

I added a sash

I extended the dress to the length I wanted

I used the long sleeve pattern but cut it to the length I wanted.

I like the pattern and will be making more with a different fabric that is lightweight.
