I was in Nigeria a few months ago in the summer. It was a very nice trip since I haven’t been there for a while. I got this fabric at Oshodi market in Lagos. It was on sale for $8 per 6yrds. I was very skeptical about buying it because I wasn’t sure if the green color was going to fade after wash.

When I washed it, it did bleed out some of the green but at the same time, it retained it giving it a different green color.

You can tell from the dresses that mine is a little different in color if you look close enough. I washed mine but didn’t wash the girls.

My immediate junior sister promised to teach me free hand sewing. She’s a freehand guru lol. I did learned a little from her though the visit was a very short one and the little I learned, I was able to use for these dresses. Hopefully, I will be able to remember the tricks when next I want to try it out again. I’m so used to sewing with patterns.
