TGIF to you all. Another Friday to be alive and happy. I’m working on a customer’s dress this weekend so I will be busy. I also have a tutorial I’m working on , a great way to recycle your jeans. If I have enough time I should be able to upload the tutorial this weekend.

I’m wearing a kimono top, its a very soft knit. I saw a Burda pattern while shopping for patterns some weeks ago. So I decided to self draft mine to look like it. It’s Burda  7866,  I think it looks close to it.

I didn’t finish the neck and the sleeves. I decided to just leave it that way because knits don’t fray. I wore a similar sleeve here but shorter.

So what are your plans for the weekend.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy my Friday Happy dance.

  1. Ah! Your top looks comfy and cozy. 🙂 Glad to see someone else who leaves edges raw on knit garments. It’s such an easy design feature, but it does add a little bit of edge to even the simplest items.

  2. Thanks @Ebi Poweigha, You’re very correct. I do this a lot with soft knit.

  3. […] That’s my little story on that dress.  Here is a similar sleeve I used fro this top.  […]
