At last Minneapolis finally officially got the summer. We’ve been in the 70s for the past 2 days and it was awesome. Can’t wait to start riding the bicycle with the kids.
I finally finished my tulle skirt for PrettyGirlsSew sew along for May. I like the skirt because it was a challenge for me being the first time working with tulle. It’s very tricky to work it but once you get the hang of it, it becomes better. I’m not sure if I will be sewing it again but I might for my daughters.
I combined it with a shirt to give it a more relaxed and adult look.
Below is my review of the pattern. It was a Simplicity 1427

Pattern Review
Pattern Description: Simplicity 1427 View E
Pattern Size: I used size 10
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions were not easy to follow at all, some parts were and some were not. I was able to use the knowledge I have as an intermediate sewer to finish the skirt.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The instructions are not that easy to follow.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made? I didn’t do any major alterations I only adjusted the waist to my size.
Would you sew it again? No ,I wouldn’t be sewing it again for me but I might for my daughters.
Would you recommend it to others? Yes/No – – Yes because its a nice skirt when finished but No because the instructions are a bit hard to follow.
