I was at the Black Women’s Expo & Job Fair last Saturday supporting my beautiful friends Misi of Misi Afrique (African Fashion and more) and Jummy of Her Royal Sweetness (Authentic quality pieces of jewelry)

It was a very nice experience because I had the opportunity of taking the girls with me. Though initially, they weren’t feeling it until I took them around to see the different booths with arts, crafts and also play games winning some candies. (kids, they always have their weird ways 🙂 )

At the end of it all, both of the girls advised me to buy a booth next year. “fingers crossed on that” 🙂 but it will be fun though. I haven’t participated in an expo before and I can’t wait for the experience.

I wore this maxi dress I self-drafted. It’s a very simple maxi that could be put together within an hour and half. It has an elastic waist and I also added a sash.

I styled it with a moto jacket and slip-on sandals. I’m still figuring out my afro hair. I washed it that morning and couldn’t style it, so I just rocked it with the shrinkage. ( My natural sistas will understand 🙂 ) So you’ll think it’s a low cut.
